People Don’t Want More Financial Apps. They Want Fewer. By Dr. Louis Anegekuh

One conversation in our latest KiiBank video stood out to me.

David looks at Sarah and asks:

“But can’t you just use Barclays to send money home?”
It’s a fair question.

For many people living in the UK, that’s exactly how they think.
Sarah’s reply is equally simple.

“Unfortunately, Barclays doesn’t allow me to send money instantly into bank accounts in Nigeria. With KiiBank, I have my own UK Account, my Personal Euro IBAN, and I can send money home from the same app.”

That conversation captures the thinking behind what we’ve been building.

When we launched multi-currency, we weren’t trying to give customers more accounts for the sake of it.

We were trying to remove the need to move between different financial services just to manage their money.

Receive money.

Hold different currencies.

Convert when needed.

Send money home.

All without leaving the same app.

That’s a much bigger problem than adding another feature.

Every week, we hear from customers who tell us the same thing in different ways.

They don’t want another financial app.

They want one place that simply works.

That continues to reinforce the direction we’re taking at KiiBank.

The journey isn’t finished.

There is still plenty to build and plenty to improve.

But every conversation with our customers gives us more confidence that we’re solving a real problem, not just adding another product to the market.

We’ll keep listening.

We’ll keep simplifying.

And we’ll keep building.
