A Naira Account Is More Than Just Another Account. By Dr. Louis Anegekuh

When we launched KiiBank’s multi-currency platform earlier this week, many people understandably focused on the new currencies.

GBP.
EUR.
NGN.
XAF.

But for me, this week wasn’t really about adding another account.

It was about removing another barrier.

For many people in the diaspora, money rarely lives in just one country.

You might earn in the UK.

Receive payments in Euros.

Support family in Nigeria.

Pay bills in Cameroon.

Yet most financial services still expect you to manage each of these separately.

Different banks.

Different apps.

Different accounts.

Different experiences.

We’ve experienced those frustrations ourselves, and we’ve heard them repeatedly from our customers.

That’s why every new account we introduce into KiiBank has to answer one question:

Does this make managing money across borders simpler?

If the answer is no, we don’t build it.

Today, customers can add their own Naira account directly within the KiiBank app.

Once approved, they’ll have their own local Nigerian account, making it easier to receive and manage Naira alongside their other currencies.

More importantly, it means one less reason to leave the app.

One less account to manage somewhere else.

One more step towards bringing your financial life together in a single place.

When we started KiiBank, we weren’t trying to create another collection of banking features.

We set out to build a platform where people can hold, receive, convert, send, and spend money across borders without constantly switching between different services.

The launch of our Naira account is another step towards that vision.

If you’re already using KiiBank, updating your details and applying for your Naira account takes just a few moments.

We’re continuing to build, and we’re grateful to everyone whose feedback continues to shape the direction of KiiBank.

Your money. Everywhere.
